Venturers' Academy - Where Everything's Possible!!
Competitions and Awards
In January 2017, students throughout Venturers' Academy were nominated by their teachers for the 2017 engage in their future National Awards.
The National Awards scheme celebrates the progress and achievements of students from engage in their future member schools. Staff at Venturers' Academy nominated multiple students they felt had achieved something special within the last twelve months. The awards scheme is split into nine categories, with staff selecting the category that they felt best suited their individual nomination.
The National Awards
Congratulations to Jack Gryniewicz and Luke Mair who were both short-listed as winners within the category for 'Outstanding Personal Resilience'.
The 2017 Awards Ceremony took place at the Copthorne Hotel in Newcastle upon Tyne on Wednesday 5th July, and both students attended with their family and staff from the Academy.
Achieveing an engage in their future National Award is something that Luke and Jack and also Venturers' Academy are extremely proud of. The award of ‘Outstanding Personal Resilience’ is testament to what Jack and Luke have been through and overcome in their lives.
Well done Jack and Luke!
The National Creative Awards
In term five students were encouraged to enter into the 2017 engage in their future National Creative Awards - a variety of creative literacy competitions organised and ran by engage in their future.
The National Creative Awards aims to encourage students and staff at member schools to get creative through poetry, photography or by writing a short-story.
At Venturers' Academy students throughout KS1 - KS3 completed individual entries in class with guidance from their teachers. Students created their own content around the topic 'dreaming' and decided whether to base their entry around a poem, short-story or through a photograph.
Each student that entered received certificates of participation and the academy had student success across multiple age categories and creative divisions.

Remington Campbell whose poem was awarded 3rd place in the KS1&2 category.
